Real life y'all! No filter, sweaty mess, almost dead. Today's totalfitchallenge was testyourselftuesday 1 mile walk/jog/run, 1 min max push ups, and plank for best time. The mile felt great, seeing as I used to be a "runner" and am slowly but surely getting the hang of being in the zone again after surgery. The push ups......SUCKED! I got 15 for one min time. I concentrated on my form and breathing to psych my brain out from giving up. My plank though was pretty fricken awesome...I planked for a whole 1:03! Today was also my abday and they're still feeling the burn. Went ahead and did my "late night ab" workout while at the gym (50 crunches, 50 toe ups "touches", and 50 bicycle crunches). IMPROVEMENT: 👊🏻 Whether it's in life or something we do in life, there is always room for improvement. Yesterday I walked into the gym with a purpose: to improve on what I consider flaws in my training. I've been battling major stiffness in my left quad but I didn't want to hang onto an excuse to half ass my leg day. While keeping on track with last weeks post about working to improve my endurance, I got right to doing just that. Didn't touch a squat rack until I foam rolled and completed 5 rounds of leg extension/curl supersets for pre exhaustion, and 100 walking lunges with no rest. <---- It's been a flaw of mine to not properly warm up before going heavy. Doing that paid off as I felt amazing under the bar. SWIPE ⬅️ TO SEE VIDEOS. Squats consisted of: 225-2x20,15 315-2x15,12 365-1x10 405-1x8 425-1x6 MINIMAL REST. Within 90 minutes of being completely zoned in by myself I warmed up, flew through a ton of exercises and hit the stair master which is an improvement for me personally. The gym doesn't have to take 3+ hours like some people I see (I used to be guilty). Get those endorphins flowing, blood pumping, zone in and leave knowing you killed it. 💪🏻👊🏻🔥 Oh, and train your legs more than your biceps please. mondaymotivation
